DC Advisors views ourselves as fiduciaries when assisting a plans investment committee in the evaluation and selection of funds for a retirement program. Accordingly, we have developed an evaluation/review process that supports the level of diligence and review outlined in ERISA, by the Department of Labor and in case law.
Investment Array Analysis
When starting a new relationship, DC Advisors generally performs a comprehensive analysis of the plans investment array. As we work through our analysis, we typically ask the following questions:
What type of asset classes
should be offered?
What risk and return characteristics should
the funds provide?
What number of fund options should you
provide?
Will a mutual fund window or self-directed
brokerage account be used?
Will style specific funds be offered?
Will investment advice be offered to participants?
We then discuss what options from the broad risk-return spectrum make sense for a retirement plan.
